"How are the schools?""What's the crime rate?""Is it a good neighborhood?""Will my kids be safe here?"As a licensed Realtor in the state of Iowa, I get asked these types of questions a lot. It
Apple Cider And Moving Time
There are few things better than a slightly chilly night, on your patio, with a hot mug of apple cider. It's just perfect.
With or without rum.
Since my wife Kelly is Colombian, it means that I get to show her the best of what central Iowa has to offer, and for the most part, she is experiencing all of those things for the first time. It was her first apple cider earlier this week. It was my first of the year. The stuff is great, and the first mug of the year is always the greatest.
The weather is changing, the leaves are turning, wardrobes are expanding. Pumpkin spice is in full epidemic mode. I love this time of year. Living in the Iowa means you get to experience a piece of every climate available on this beautiful planet. That sadly also means we get to experience winter.
That's coming, by the way. #sadface.
ok, where am I going with this? This is a real estate blog, after all.
Here's something you should consider: people don't like to leave their house in the winter. That also means that people don't like to change houses in the winter, if that can be avoided.

But hear me out: You SHOULD be looking to buy right now.
Now, just as with everything in life, this is not the case every time. But often times, sellers are looking to get out of their place and into their new one before winter rears it's ugly head. That can mean quicker negotiating. That can also mean less buyers for you to compete against. Spring is crazy. Get ahead of the curve.
If there's a house that you've been looking at for a while, you should seriously consider making an offer. Don't worry. I can help you do that.
Get it out of the way now, let's get it going before it's freezing outside.
Oh, and by the way: my wife loved the apple cider.
My job is to help people make their dreams come true, and learn as much as I can to make the buying and selling process easier for my clients.
Your job is to heat up some apple cider and sit down at www.michaelfindshouses.com so I can help you find your next dream home. Then let's get it going before it's crazy cold outside.
